AGONITH- Whispers In The Dark

For many years, the tales of Agonith became nothing more than whispers carried by the wind, a haunting legend parents told their children to keep them obedient and cautious. "Don't wander too far into the Fuego Forest," they'd say, "or Agonith will find you." The manor stood like a ghostly sentinel at the edge of the settlement, its once grand façade now weathered and overgrown with ivy, a silent reminder of the darkness that had once ravaged the village.

The spells used to bind Agonith had held strong for decades, but as time passed, their potency began to wane. Faint cracks appeared in the magical barriers, imperceptible at first, but slowly widening with each passing year. The air around the manor grew colder, and strange shadows danced in the windows at night. Those brave enough to venture close could feel an oppressive presence, a chill that cut to the bone.

One summer, a group of tourists, drawn by the legend and the thrill of the forbidden, decided to explore the manor. They were young and reckless, filled with a thirst for adventure. Ignoring the warnings of the villagers, they made their way through the forest, laughing and joking as they approached the ominous structure.

As they stepped through the threshold, the temperature dropped sharply, and an unnatural silence fell over the group. The interior of the manor was dark, the air thick with the scent of decay and something far more sinister. They ventured deeper into the manor.

Suddenly, the shadows seemed to come alive, it was like a monstrous form that towered above them. Agonith, sensing the intrusion, awoke from his long slumber. His eyes, glowing, fixed upon the trespassers. With a roar that shook the very foundations of the manor, he unleashed his fury.

The tourists didn't stand a chance. Agonith's power had grown over the years, fueled by his anger and the weakening spells. He moved with a speed and ferocity that was beyond comprehension, tearing through them with claws of shadow. Their screams echoed through the manor, but no one outside could hear them. By the time the frenzy ended, the walls were painted with blood, and the air was filled with the scent of death.

Agonith stood amidst the carnage, breathing heavily, his form shifting and pulsing with dark energy. The taste of freedom, however brief, ignited a burning desire within him. He knew that the spells were weakening, and soon he would be free to unleash his wrath upon the world once more. But he needed to act quickly before the diviners could reinforce his prison.

Driven by his insatiable hunger for power and vengeance, Agonith began to focus his energies on breaking the final bonds that held him. The air crackled with dark magic as he summoned every ounce of his strength, pushing against the barriers that confined him. The walls of the manor trembled, and the ground outside shook as the force of his will battered against the weakening spells.

Far away, Aiden, living a quiet life oblivious to his lineage, felt an inexplicable pull. He had always felt out of place, plagued by dreams of shadows and a haunting sense of urgency. That night, the pull became unbearable. He knew he had to return to his homeland, though he didn't understand why.

In the village, a Sibyl sensed the disturbance. Her eyes snapped open, and she felt a cold dread settle in her bones. "He is awakening," she whispered to herself, her voice trembling. Gathering the remaining diviners, she hurriedly began preparations to reinforce the spells, knowing that their time was running out.

But Agonith was relentless. The memories of his parents, and the years of confinement fueled his rage. The barriers cracked and groaned under the pressure, and with a final roar, they shattered into a thousand pieces. Agonith was free.

As he stepped out of the manor, the shadows around him pulsed, forming a dark aura that radiated. The villagers, sensing the impending doom, fled in terror, their screams echoing through the night. Agonith gazed upon the world with eyes burning with hatred and hunger, ready to reclaim his dominion and plunge the world into darkness once more.

And so, the legend of Agonith was no longer just a tale to frighten children. It became a living nightmare, especially as the only one who could tame him once more was miles away.....
